Our Center of Excellence Platform team specializes in promoting innovation and driving process improvement through the application of key technologies that facilitate innovation, and digitization and enable business operational effectiveness at IPC! The team is seeking a Centre of Excellence Partner to provide support for key technology platforms like DocuSign and WalkMe products, to promote digitization and help IPC teams work more effectively.

At Investment Planning Counsel, we’ve designed every aspect of the Centre of Excellence Partner role with you in mind. 

What is the role of the Centre of Excellence Partner? 

  • Provides leadership and oversight to plan, build, and maintain strong practices for the suite of CoE technology platforms (DocuSign, Office 365, Salesforce & WalkMe) 

  • Manage and support CoE platform requests during various stages of the pipeline (intake, discovery & underway) 

  • Analyze opportunities for digitization through documenting business problems, new features, current and future state processes 

  • Act as point of escalation for CoE technology platforms  

  • Collaborates with multiple stakeholders across IPC 

  • Participate and consult in enterprise initiatives and project development to provide input and recommendations to ensure successful delivery 

  • Creates, establishes, and manages CoE platform standard procedures, working practices, guidelines, processes, and tools 

  • Provides direction and guidance to departmental teams to grow their skills for implementing the CoE platforms in their business area  

  • Help lead the application of industry-standard methodologies and best practices in the adoption of the CoE platform suite of products across IPC 

  • Track and report on CoE platform team KPIs to measure the success and progress of the team deliverables and activities for achieving the team mandate  

  • Apply strong business acumen to analyze, distil and make sense of business information to drive conclusions and decisions.

  • Able to oversee multiple activities, projects and excel in a complex and evolving portfolio 

  • Establish and build healthy working relations and partnerships with clients, vendors, executives, and peers 

  • Ability to influence decisions and commitment to the adoption of the CoE platform suite of products 

  • Successfully guide the organization through change, while maintaining focus, intensity, and team cohesion 

  • Confidence while working under pressure and with ambiguity 

  • Ability to think critically and use sound judgment  

  • Can successfully question organizational processes collaboratively and respectfully, with the outcome of identifying efficiencies 

  • Exhibit a mindset of creativity, determination, and an energetic drive to succeed 

  • Continuously seek opportunities to innovate and simplify processes 
     

What are the preferred qualifications for a Centre of Excellence Partner?  

  • 3 - 4 years in a relevant information technology or business operation position 

  • Post-secondary education 

  • Financial industry knowledge is an asset 

  • Project Management, process improvement or product management expertise is an asset 

  • Strong facilitation skills with the ability to drive actionable outcomes 

  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Experience in creating and delivering executive-level presentations is an asset 

  • Ability to work in an agile environment and effectively manage change 

  • Ability to lead various subject matter experts to drive business outcomes  

  • Strong people skills to effectively collaborate with other stakeholders 

  • Effective time management skills; ability to multi-task 

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
