Our Private Wealth Concierge is currently growing! We’re seeking an Account Manager – someone who is focused primarily on IPC One Advisor Services and has a thorough understanding of the Portfolio Management offering. They will support the newly accredited Portfolio Manager in a relationship management capacity ensuring advisor and clients are successfully transitioned to IPC One. This individual will act as the liaison between the Portfolio Managers and internal departments within IPC in all aspects of the Advisor Journey.

What is the role of the Account Manager?
The Account Manager Role is 30% relationship building and 70% administration and maintenance of the accounts being transitioned. Providing absolute support to the Portfolio Managers and their branches through thorough knowledge of the IPC One Platform and it’s working, the applications used and process workflows
The Account Manager works independently per their Portfolio Manager(s) assigned and do NOT have staff reporting to them.
Some tasks performed by the Account Manager are:
- Preparing the PM and branch for the transition by working with internal teams to set up the various accesses required
- Thorough understanding of the working of the Automated Client Insights Workbook
- Thorough understanding of IPC One and the transitioning of accounts from an existing IPC platform
- Incoming paperwork review for existing/new account opening through the applications used; Compass, Client Insights Automation, DocuSign, Synergize
- Liaise with the Branch Manager to ensure that all compliance requirements are met.
- In depth understanding of processing workflows and procedures required to transition existing accounts to managed/non-managed accounts to the new platform
- Monitor and track transition activity for reporting purposes, identify SLAs and opportunities for improvement
- Build and maintain relationship with the advisor and branch through consistent touchpoints; e-mails/meetings/dashboard updates etc.
- Inform advisor on the next steps and keep them updated on all that is ongoing with respect to their Book of Business
- Ensure that all communications, issues/inquiries are responded to and addressed on time
- Act as the single point of contact for the advisors and internal business members, as well as providing an update on the progress: advancements made, next steps
- Recognize issues which should be escalated to management
- Identify issue trends of re-occurring, ongoing and/or regular challenges that are experienced by the Advisors and internal partners
What traits and competencies should a Private Wealth Account Manager possess?
- Relationship-building skills with a commitment to establishing long-term client relationships.
- Sound judgement and decision making– keeping in mind that “The Client Comes First”
- Can oversee/manage multiple projects effectively with a capacity for dealing with tight deadlines
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Able to work independently when required as well as in a team environment
- Contribute actively towards the team’s success through forward thinking and a positive attitude
- Ability to stay organized and attuned to situations requiring impeccable time management and the appropriate handling of many documents at one time
What are the preferred qualifications for a Private Wealth Account Manager?
- Must possess at least 1-3 years of IIROC industry work experience at the administrative level with knowledge of IIROC processes
- Completion of CSC is an asset
- Must have advanced knowledge of IIROC online applications (ISM, NetRep, IMost, OSS)
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Office 365
